This was made for a friend (named Adele) who wanted a table of a particular size, shape and colour to match her other furniture.
Described to me as a ‘telephone table’, which I suppose by definition it is since it ended up with a telephone placed on it (see final picture).
I’d never made a table before, so was interested in the project. I used a relatively simple design (but fun all the same). Legs and rails were cut from tulipwood; and, as it was destined to be painted, high quality furniture-grade plywood was used for the top.
